As part of Newsweek's commitment to cover all aspects of healthcare, it once again partnered with global research firm Statista to rank the world's best specialty hospitals. Last year, they looked at the best facilities in 10 specialties: cardiology, cardiac surgery, oncology, endocrinology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, gastroenterology, pulmonology and pediatrics. This year they expanded to 11 specialties, with the addition of urology. The ranking includes the top 300 hospitals in cardiology and oncology, the top 200 in pediatrics, the top 150 in cardiac surgery and endocrinology, and the top 125 in gastroenterology, orthopedics, neurology, neurosurgery, urology, and pulmonology. And for the second year, Newsweek and Statista have developed a list of hospitals leveraging the latest technologies.
