The main cause of death nationally and worldwide are cardiovascular diseases, which is why at Hospital Serena del Mar we have created the Cardiovascular Health Unit with a highly trained and multidisciplinary team that provides support to offer comprehensive care, with extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of diseases that affect the heart, hand in hand with the best technology available to support the necessary requirements throughout the care process.
However, cardiovascular diseases are conditions that produce alterations in the heart and blood vessels. They usually occur due to a buildup of fat on the walls of the arteries. Among them we have: heart disease, heart failure and arrhythmias.

Specialized cardiology consultation: The clinical cardiology area is oriented towards carrying out specialized cardiology consultation and resolving interconsultations generated by the different services and specialties, to optimize the management of their patients.

We have specialists and supra-specialists in the different areas of cardiology with extensive experience in the management of:
Arrhythmias, heart failure, arterial hypertension, coronary disease, congenital heart disease, valvular diseases, myocarditis, pericardial diseases, diseases of the aorta and great vessels, among others.
Our subspecialties and medical team
We have expert specialists in acute and chronic pathologies, both venous and arterial, highly trained in endovascular management for the resolution with minimally invasive procedures of these pathologies in our Intervention and Hemodynamics room.
We also offer management of varicose disease in the lower limbs and aortoiliac disease, including abdominal aortic aneurysms.
Care package, attended by a multidisciplinary group, which allows rehabilitation and recovery after invasive cardiac intervention.
