Purpose of the position
Ensure the preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of biomedical and support equipment, guaranteeing optimal performance, reliability, and safety for patient care. Oversee compliance with metrology standards and current regulations, ensuring the calibration and validation of equipment operating parameters in alignment with clinical engineering processes. This role contributes to the continuity of hospital services and the safety of both patients and medical staff.
Requirements
- Biomedical technologist (specializing in electronics or electromedicine).
- Knowledge of the diagnosis, repair, and preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of medical equipment.
- Knowledge of the installation, calibration, and configuration of biomedical devices across various hospital departments.
- Knowledge and application of standards such as IEC 60601 and ISO 13485, as well as local medical technology regulations.
- Application of electrical safety and biosafety protocols during equipment handling.
- One year of experience in the field.
- INVIMA certification for the maintenance of Class IIB and III biomedical equipment, with experience in Level IV healthcare facilities (IPS).
