This is how the 1st Human Talent Management Congress was experienced: AI and sustainability from an intersectoral perspective
With a world-class academic program and broad in-person and virtual participation, Hospital Serena del Mar, together with the Santa Fe de Bogotá Foundation and in partnership with ACRIP Bolívar, held the 1st Human Talent Management Congress: AI and Sustainability from an Intersectoral Perspective.
On July 1st and 2nd, Bogotá and Cartagena hosted leaders, experts, and professionals from multiple sectors who gathered to discuss, learn, and design new paths that are transforming the work environment and how organizations attract, develop, and care for their most valuable asset: people.
Day 1: Artificial Intelligence and Human Resource Management
The opening day featured a first session focused on new technologies. Speaker Karen Carvajalino kicked off the academic program with her presentation on "AI and Human Resource Management," initiating a discussion on how predictive and automated tools are reshaping decision-making and enhancing the capabilities of work teams.
The first day also addressed technology-assisted physical and occupational safety, thanks to Diego Cuervo's presentation on "AI that anticipates risks and transforms safety," and Gustavo Rentería's presentation on occupational health. The afternoon session focused on sustainability, concluding that true institutional strength arises from within, with Claudia Arias and Alejandra López highlighting their presentations on "Sustainability through People." Natalia Oliveros also led a workshop focused on transforming internal communication as the connecting bridge within organizations.
Day 2: Caring for Human Talent
The second day of the congress placed employees and mental health at the heart of the workplace strategy, sharing methodologies applicable to companies in any productive sector. Under the institutional premise of "We take care of ourselves to take care of others," María del Rosario Curi, Deputy Director of Human Resources at Hospital Serena del Mar, shared the strategic pillars and internal initiatives that the Hospital leads to guarantee an ecosystem of care and comprehensive well-being for all.
The afternoon was dedicated to hands-on learning through immersive and interactive methodologies. Attendees actively participated in the "Designing a Culture of Well-being" workshop led by Paola Mejia, and in the "Corporate Emotional Sustainability" session led by Raissa Díaz. Both workshops equipped leaders with applicable tools to build healthy work environments, mitigate psychosocial risks, and foster a sense of belonging in complex teams.
The event also featured an immersive virtual reality capsule, a cutting-edge technological experience designed to promote conscious disconnection, stress management, and emotional well-being.
Following the official closing, the event yielded three key collective takeaways for cross-sector organizations:
1. AI is an ally; technology should optimize operational processes and free up valuable time to allow for closer and more empathetic support for employees.
2. Well-being must be ingrained in the culture. Designing healthy environments and providing stable mental health tools is essential for corporate emotional sustainability.
3. Regardless of the sector, the overall success and service excellence of any organization depend directly on the care and balance of its teams.
We remain committed to innovation, human talent development, and building healthier and more sustainable organizational environments. This event provided an invaluable opportunity to strengthen cross-sector collaboration networks and further consolidate sustainable and conscious corporate strategies in the region and the country.
