Hospital Serena del Mar announces the suspension of services to users of Coosalud EPS, Nueva EPS and Proteger EPS
Hospital Serena del Mar informs the community that, due to the repeated non-compliance of Coosalud EPS, Nueva EPS, and Proteger EPS (formerly Cajacopi) with their payment obligations for healthcare services actually provided, it has decided to suspend care for patients affiliated with these entities.
This measure is being taken in accordance with current regulations and does not apply to life-threatening emergencies, which will continue to be treated in accordance with Colombian law.
Patients affiliated with these EPSs who require guidance regarding the continuity of their care should contact their insurance provider directly to learn about the network of authorized providers and the official channels available for service allocation.
This decision responds to the need to protect the sustainability of hospital operations and guarantee the continuity of safe, timely, and high-quality care for all patients. The persistent non-compliance of these entities affects the institution's capacity to continue providing services under the conditions required by the healthcare system. Hospital Serena del Mar reiterates its commitment to responsible, safe, humane and patient-centered care, as well as to the search for solutions that contribute to the well-being of the community.
