My name is Brigett Hendrickson, and I come from the beautiful island of Saint Kitts. I discovered Colombia and realized it's simply amazing. I came to receive cancer treatment, which I couldn't manage in Saint Kitts. My doctor, Angelina Álvarez, told me that chemotherapy and radiation therapy had to be done simultaneously. I came here without knowing what to expect. When I arrived and met the International Office team, they were incredible. I started to relax as soon as I contacted them and realized my journey was going to be wonderful.

The time here has been really good. The treatment was much better than I expected. I had breast cancer before, but I didn't have this type of treatment, so I didn't know what to expect. I didn't want to look for information because I didn't want to disturb my peace of mind in any way. However, here I realized that the treatment was different. I could feel it. On the first day, I received chemotherapy in my veins, and then I took it for 39 days. After completing the treatment, I was told that everything had gone well and was finished, so I danced with happiness. I thank everyone. The entire team took great care of me, and I felt very welcome from start to finish
