Lina Venecia
After suffering a fall at home that resulted in a hip fracture, Mrs. Lina was initially taken to another healthcare center. However, due to the complexity of the case and in search of superior medical care, her son, Cristian Monroy, requested a transfer to Hospital Serena del Mar.
Upon admission through the Emergency Department, the diagnostic imaging team confirmed a fracture in the femoral neck of her right hip. Given the patient's advanced age and with the goal of restoring her autonomy as quickly as possible, the medical team determined that the best course of treatment was a total hip replacement. This procedure ensures effective pain management, allows the patient to walk just the day after surgery, and—most importantly—restores their quality of life.

The results were highly satisfactory: a successful surgery with no associated complications and an excellent recovery that allowed Mrs. Lina to regain assisted walking with a walker in record time.
