At the end of January, I suffered a multi-ligament injury in my right knee while playing in a university graduate soccer championship. I didn’t feel intense pain at that moment, but I did notice that something was wrong. Although it wasn’t too painful, my knee started to swell.
Healthcare professionals
Involved in the procedure
When I arrived at Hospital Serena del Mar, the first thing they did was to take an X-ray and an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). That was the beginning of my recovery. They put a brace on me, an immobilizer that prevented me from moving my knee while I healed.
After about a month, or maybe a little less, I started physical therapy. Luckily, in a very short time, I was able to jump, walk normally, and I’m beginning a process to start jogging and continue improving my physical health.
